Taiwan Festival to delight London The Taipei Representative Office in the UK is set to bring grassroots Taiwanese culture to Brent Cross Shopping Centre Sept 10-11. The weekend festival will be highlighted by demonstrations of traditional glove puppetry by world-renowned puppet master Chen Xihuang. Chen’s renderings of the delicate gestures of a refined lady, an exciting fight scene, a Chinese lion dance and an old man smoking a real pipe are sure to delight. Those who attend will be rewarded also with a taste of Taiwanese sweets, demonstrations of Chinese calligraphy and paper cutting and a chance to win a return-trip flight from London to Taipei!
