15 Taiwanese Students

Gain Coveted Government Scholarships

to Study in the UK

The Ministry of Education in Taiwan has recently announced the list of outstanding young men and women who after passing the competitive national examinations have been awarded government scholarships to study abroad.

15 of these high calibre students will attend some of the top universities in the UK starting this academic year under the 2003 Government Study Abroad Scholarship Scheme.

These students’ fields of study are impressively wide ranging from education, art, design, architecture, environmental science, law, recreation management, gene therapy, crisis management, international trade and finance. During their stay in the UK, the Cultural Division will be there to assist them in achieving their educational goals, so that they can one day return to Taiwan with high class international qualifications and knowledge.

These scholarship students will join many of their compatriots in the UK, which is at present one of the top choices for study abroad, second only to the United States. As you will see from the table below, there are presently 100 government scholarship students studying in the UK.
